I use nature in a calculated way as a source of ideas... I look at nature abstractly and concentrate more on painting. I choose a subject not because I like the view as such, but because I feel its potential of giving me a structure on which I build an interesting picture. In that sense I am abstract expressionist. Colors that I use are intuitive; I seldom follow the color scheme that I see in nature. I feel I can't duplicate nature, I can only interpret it. I only use natural objects to convey my inner thoughts, ideas and express my feelings. My paintings are visual border stones between reality and inner experience of the outside world.
